Camper FAQ

Here are some answers to camper's frequent questions:

Do I have to be there at 9:00 a.m.?  I want to sleep.

Yes, camp begins promptly at 9:00 a.m. If you have an appointment or something happens, you may come late or leave early however we expect the campers to be here 9:00 - 12:00.

What are we going to do every day?

Every day is a new adventure according to the theme of the week. You will participate in a physical activity, art, and education rotation along with a snack and daily exercise warm-up.

What if I get hungry?

Please bring your own snacks.

Am I going to be in the same group as my friend?

Groups are arranged by grade. You may be with your friend within a group but it’s not promised unless there is a special request.

What if it rains outside?

We will have camp in the rain, however, if thunderstorms are in the forecast we will cancel as we can’t house all of our campers indoors.

Do I have to go swimming?

No, swimming isn’t mandatory, however, we will be at the pool on Fridays for pool day. We will have rotating groups that don’t include swimming. Each group swims for 30 minutes.

Parent FAQ

Here are some answers to questions from our parents:

Do they have to attend all of the sessions?

No, we are flexible.  You can pay by the day!

What if my child is not feeling well before camp?

Please do not send your child to camp if they are not feeling well. We will be temperature-checking each child every morning. Our hope is to keep every camper and staff healthy!

What if my child does not feel well during camp?

If your child starts to feel ill, we will give you a call to pick them up if the nurse feels this is best.

When do I need to pay for the upcoming week?

Payment is due for each week at the start of Monday morning, however, full payment can be taken at any time.

What is the camper to counselor ratio?

Each group will have a lead teacher, a handful of junior counselors, and a few juniors in training. Each rotation has an additional lead counselor.

What if my child does not know how to swim?

We ask that your child wear a life jacket and will remain in the shallow end. Swim lessons can be purchased through Blue Eagle Swim, and your child can get a lesson while at camp if you desire.
