 Camp Soar Aftercare Program

What days are Aftercare?

Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays during the weeks of camp from June 25 to August 1.

What time is Aftercare?

12:00 PM to 3:00 PM

Do I need to pack a lunch or do you provide lunch?

We do not provide lunch. You can pack a lunch or your child can buy lunch at the Snack Shack at the Boro Pool. Joy who runs the stand often gives our campers a lunch discount and has special packages!

What do the children do in Aftercare?

The children will be heading to the pool those three days. It is rain or shine so if it does happen to become bad weather, or it's going to rain that day and the Borough pool closes, the campers will head up to the log cabin and spend the afternoon playing games, doing crafts, or whatever suits their fancy to stay occupied.

How much does it cost?

The cost is $25 a day. Payment can be made via Cash, Check or Venmo @nazzycampsoar. You must pay in advance to hold your spot.

Does the $25 fee include a pool pass?

It does not include a pool pass. You must pay a separate fee for the cost of admission to the pool. The 2024 will be determined by the Nazareth Borough. In 2023, it was $8 per day. You can also buy and use your seasonal pool pass. You must purchase your pool pass at the Boro Pool ahead of time.

For more information on pool passes at the Boro Pool, please visit the Nazareth Borough website.

Is there a limit to the amount of kids in Aftercare?

Yes. We limit the number of kids to no more than 20. And require at least 10 children so that we can pay our staff. We generally have three staff on duty.

How do I sign my child(ren) up?

A sign-up genius will come out for all weeks, one week before camp starts.

Where do I pick up my child at the end of the day?

This will be determined at the start of camp.

What else do I need to know?

We ask that your child be able to swim, and take care of themselves in the bathroom, which means they put their suits on, can take their suits off and can re-dress.

Last-minute cancellations or no-shows become problematic as we put people on the schedule according to the numbers we have two days prior.

At dismissal time, the counselors who are staying for the aftercare will gather all of the campers who will also be staying. They meet at the pavilion and walk down to the pool together. Each lead teacher has a list of the kids from their team who are staying for the day. Your child would stay and not need to be picked up that day until 3 o'clock.
